With the emerging technology in today’s generation we often seek to look at the flaws we see in ourselves. It is easier for us to see negatives rather than positives and this causes us to lose the love we deserve. I am not talking about love for your significant other or someone in your life, I am talking about the love for yourself. Love yourself because once you do, you will have the ability to never fear or question who you are. Each day we learn something about ourselves, learn to love yourself because you deserve the world. We need to learn to pay more attention to the things we like about ourselves and the things that make us feel good about ourselves. Rather than the things that make us feel bad. When you stand in front of the mirror in the morning let yourself know how beautiful you are and not just on the outside. Stop picking out the things that you do not like and start seeing the things you love. Sure we all have things to work on about ourselves, we are human. However, we do not need to put our entire focus on these things. Learn to love your curves, dimples, freckles, moles, scares, messy hair, one arm, one leg, learn to love YOU! Be kinder to yourself, don’t beat yourself up over silly things. These are only failures if you allow them to be and to consume you. Don’t give up on yourself and your dreams. Remember who you are and don’t let everything drain you. Others around you do not get to decide who you are, they can judge you all they want but only you get to decide who you are. Do what you love, find a job that you actually love to do so you won’t be miserable. I can remember my dad telling me this very important piece of advice. He said to always do what you love, even if that means you make less money, and to know what is truly important in life. If you choose to follow this advice you are less likely to worry and stress about these things and you will be more prone to love what you do which leads to loving yourself. Loving yourself is a journey, and the journey might not always be uplifting, there will be challenges and obstacles to face but after the journey and you learn to love yourself it will all be worth it. Every step and obstacle you face will only make you stronger. Please remember to start erasing the negative thoughts in your head and to replace them with positive ones. Love yourself first. Love your flaws, your differences, your quirks, they make you unique. Love, Sarah #ImperfectlyPerfect

"Our differences do not define who we are but are a part of the story that God has written for our lives." Sarah says, " I hope that I can be someone to relate to in a world of untold real stories. Everything I write is from my heart and real." "We are all created imperfectly perfect by God, we should be proud of our imperfections and differences, they make us who we are today but do not define us, know that you are beautiful and remind yourself of this everyday." |
